We say “yes” to second helpings, “yes” to almost any sign up sheet, and the only questions we answer with “no” are ones that end in “and you’re sure you don’t mind?”   We are a “yes” breed.

“Plan! I think in the homefront, doing a lot of planning, trying to be proactive,” she said. “Have meetings with your family. Assign children tasks, jobs, responsiblities. And work with your spouse/partner, if there is one, to identify how we can more fairly divide up some of the roles. Why am I the one doing all of the cooking, the cleaning, the shopping? And then with that, I think, comes that expectation — lowering some of your expectations. While it may not be done that way, I would like it done and is it really that important that it’s done?”
